Pure cotton plain weave shirting-type fabric with closely woven, very fine yarns. This fabric is soft and ultra-smooth, with an almost slippery or waxy feel to it. It is slightly water-resistant, although this effect may wear off over time. The colour is a slightly dusty milk chocolate brown. It has a subtle waxy gloss in some lights, although it's not shiny per se. Fabric has lots of structure and a little drape. It's opaque on the skin despite the thinness. Suitable for clothing such as shirts, tops, dresses, thin bottoms, or kids wear. Thin outerwear is also possible - I’ve seen a zip-up blouson jacket made of similar cotton material - although it would be more for looks and sun protection than warmth. Recommended if you like trying out subtle yet unusual fabrics!
I suggest washing and ironing this as a delicate fabric to try to preserve the finish as long as possible.
