Solid deep blue fabric with a low-key reflectiveness and a slight, wavy crinkle effect in the warp or lengthwise direction. The weft is polyamide blended with viscose or rayon, and the warp is pure viscose or rayon. This fabric is not thick but it feels sturdy and dense in the hand. It is slightly dry to the touch, fairly smooth, and of average softness, with a bit more of a nylon-y feel than some (but still fine to wear against the skin). Opaque on the skin, with slight wrinkle resistance. It has good drape, with movement and body, and a touch of structure. Suitable for lightweight outerwear and coat-style dresses, as well as dresses with some structure, jumpsuits/ playsuits, skirts and pants, or tops. Designer deadstock. Swatches are available - leave a note at check-out if you would like one.
General info:
All fabrics in this update are woven of plant-based fibres in one direction, and polyamide/ nylon in the other direction (typically the warp or lengthwise yarns). Polyamide adds strength, body, and stability, without adding too much weight. The plant-based fibres take colour well and keep the fabric feeling softer against the skin. One thing I like about this type of fabric is that it drapes well yet tends to skim the body, rather than cling to it.
