Soft black ramie/ cotton blend plain weave fabric (“soft” referring to the colour and not the texture). Fabric has high ramie content and a rather dry, linen-y texture. I don’t find it scratchy per se, but it’s not soft, either. Both the texture and handle are on the "crunchy" side, which should soften somewhat with washing. It jas some drape and structure with moderate body, and is slightly translucent. I think this fabric would be good for embroidery or other crafts. It can also be used for shell tops, “puffy” blouses and shirts, or as a slightly thicker lining.
