Soft sky blue cotton poplin with a directional all-over floral print and little circular cut-outs, meant to imitate the look of broderie anglaise. The dotted style also reminds me somewhat of batik. The print is raised with a slightly “rubbery” or suede-like flocked texture. Unlike regular embroidered fabric, only the smooth base fabric touches the skin. Fabric is tightly woven and opaque on the skin (except for the little cut-outs). Has moderate to good structure and just slight drape. Suitable for shirts, tops, and non-drapey dresses.
