144gsm faux shirred stretch viscose polyamide, by metre

Viscose/ polyamide stretch plain weave fabric with a faux shirred effect - elastic thread is woven into the fabric to create the appearance of shirring.  The base fabric is soft and very smooth, almost slippery and a touch crisp - the texture reminds me a little of nylon.  It is slightly cool to the touch and comfortable against the skin.  Colour is jet black, with some sheen under certain lights.  This fabric has very good drape with a rather fluid handle, and a little bit of body.  Suitable for tops, blouses, shirts, dresses, even pants if you wanted.  Base fabric is soft and very smooth, almost slippery, a bit like nylon fabric.
