161gsm satin stripe linen blend, by metre

An interesting linen blend fabric with a base similar to a crisp, dry, slightly textured poplin, on top of which stripes of different widths have been woven.  The stripes run across the width of the fabric, from selvedge to selvedge, and are just slightly raised or thicker than the base fabric.  The base fabric is pretty much matte, with just subtle inherent sheen, whilst the stripes are satiny-looking on the right side, and a matte twill weave on the reverse.  You could use either side depending on the look you want.  This fabric is a blend of linen most likely with cotton and/or tencel (no synthetic fibres).  It is smooth for a linen blend, with moderate softness, and is somewhat dry to the touch.  It has a good amount of soft drape and body.  Will make lovely dresses including semi-formal styles, and is also suitable for lightweight blazers, bottoms, tops, thicker blouses, or shirts (including men’s shirts).  Fabrc is opaque on the skin.  The colour is a slightly soft black.
