Linen/ viscose or lyocell/ elastane blend bengaline fabric in matte pure black . The right side of this fabric has a very subtle fine twill weave and feels smooth, whilst the reverse has a dry, slightly crisp feel, with fine linen slubs visible in the weft. Fabric has lots of structure and some drape with a little body. It is fully opaque and has a smart or less casual look to it. A great choice for slim-legged pants thanks to the stretch, and also suitable for dressy shorts, blazers, fitted tops, dresses, or jumpsuits.
Bengaline is a new-ish fabric type for the shop. It is a very stretchy woven fabric which always stretches with the grain, in the length-wise direction, so is meant to be cut across the grain. There are sewing patterns specifically designed for bengaline, such as the Style Arc Barb pant and their other stretch woven styles, which could be a useful reference.
