Linen/ cotton blend unbleached canvas fabric with an extremely thin white rubber-like coating on one side. The coating is permeable and only a little water resistant (water beads up on it but will soak into the fabric if not quickly wiped or shaken off). The uncoated side is soft and very comfortable against the skin, with just slight texture from the weave. It feels slightly dry to touch. The colour is a light greige (greyish beige) with darker unbleached flecks. Fabric is opaque, structured, and has some body and drape.
I believe this was a dressmaking fabric, although I do not know what kind of garments it was used for - outerwear, perhaps? It's also suitable for crafts or home wares where some sturdiness and structure is needed (I've kept some for a table cloth/ cover).
