A pure silk organza narrow-width fabric. The colour is a light champagne, though it looks slightly different depending on the light. Fabric is not shiny but has a subtle pearlescence to it. This is not a typical organza as it has long and short slubs here and there giving it a bit of an organic look, somewhat like a silk dupioni (see photos). Fabric has good drape with structure and lots of body and natural "springiness". The texture is quite crisp and yet smooth overall. It feels sturdy despite its light weight and translucency. This is a vintage fabric so there may be some small defects such as a few darkish specks caught in the weave. Shrinkage for my test piece was 2.5-3% (the last photo shows the fabric after washing).
Suitable for clothing such as structured and/or puffy blouses and sleeves, for embroidery, or just as a press cloth (a 50cm or 60cm cut is possible). Here are some examples of garments or features made with silk organza.
