Lightweight fabric with a viscose/ ramie weft (i.e. the widthwise yarns) and polyamide warp (i.e. the lengthwise yarns). The plaid design is printed in various hues of juicy orange, blue, and pale grey, on a white base with subtle satiny sheen. Texture-wise, this is the most unique fabric of the bunch: it is fairly soft, slightly textured, and feels somewhat dry and "crispy" to the touch, similar to a ramie or organza fabric. Has a slight nylon-y feel to it as well but I find it to still be comfortable against the skin. Somewhat translucent, with fluid movement, a good amount of airy drape, and moderate body. It is not wrinkle resistant. Ideal for lined dresses and skirts, but I can also see it used for unlined tops, blouses, over-sized shirts, etc. This fabric may look delicate but it is actually very sturdy.
General info:
All fabrics in this update are woven of plant-based fibres in one direction, and polyamide/ nylon in the other direction (typically the warp or lengthwise yarns). Polyamide adds strength, body, and stability, without adding too much weight. The plant-based fibres take colour well and keep the fabric feeling softer against the skin. One thing I like about this type of fabric is that it drapes well yet tends to skim the body, rather than cling to it.
