The plaid may not be perfectly perpendicular towards the selvedges. To aid cutting on-grain, it may help to coax the fabric into place while it dries (after pre-washing).

Yarn-dyed cotton/ linen twill (majority cotton) with an unusual irregular plaid pattern in pine green, dark mustard yellow, and dark dusty pink.  Fabric is soft and smooth overall, with just a touch of linen-y texture.  It feels somewhat dry to the touch, and neither crisp nor cool.  Has moderate structure and drape, without much body, and is opaque on the skin.  Suitable for tops, shirts, dresses, wide-legged pants, kids wear, and some crafts.
