PREVIEW Rayon stretch ponte black 225gsm, by metre

Stretch ponte fabric with an interlocking knit structure, mainly rayon or lyocell plus nylon for shape retention, and a little elastane for stretch.  Ponte is a double knit fabric that is relatively more stable and retains its shape better than most knits, while still having good stretch (usually the "firm" type of stretch).  This ponte has good drape and some structure.  The colour is a slightly soft black which is basically matte (not as reflective as it may look in the photos).  It feels fairly soft and smooth, with a slight surface texture from the way it's knit.  Opaque on the skin.  Suitable for various styles of bottoms from culottes to slim pants (as it has both drape and stretch), knit blazers, jumpsuits, dresses, and tops.  Fabric has some wrinkle resistance.
