Yarn-dyed cotton voile with a gingham pattern in dusty beige and a slightly navy-ish grey. Fabric is smooth and very soft, with a slightly dry hand-feel. The weave is slightly loose but regular and even. Fabric has some structure and good drape. It is slightly translucent in one layer, and pretty much opaque on the skin in two layers. Suitable for clothing such as airy blouses, lined dresses, sleepwear, kids wear, and scarves. I could also see it used for sleeves in a single layer, paired with a soft, thicker fabric for the body (e.g. double gauze, or self fabric in two layers). You could think of this as a cross between voile and single gauze, as it's not crisp or tightly-woven like a shirting or lawn.
