Bright red viscose jersey with an irregular, satiny-looking knit pattern. Fabric feels smooth and soft, especially on the right side, and slightly cool to touch. It is just a little translucent on the skin over contrasting colours. Has good drape with a fair amount of structure. Suitable for clothing such as tees, tops, knit shirts and blouses, dresses, culottes, or sleepwear. Not suitable for underwear or other very fitted items as it has no stretch fibre.
Viscose jersey satin jacquard 183gsm, by metre
$8.65 - $66.70
- Width:
- 1.86m
- Weight:
- 183gsm
- Stretch:
- 85% width-wise, 12% length-wise
- Composition:
- Viscose
- Defect:
- There is an occasional tiny hole within ~7cm of one selvedge throughout the fabric - not a huge issue as the fabric has a generous width, just take care to avoid them.
- Note #1:
- Stiffener has been applied within ~3cm of the selvedge edge to make the fabric easier to handle. Fabric will be cut with reference to the selvedge and not the grainline (which might be slightly off-kilter to selvedge).
- Note #2:
- 1.1m and 1.5m options each come with extra defective fabric left attached for free. If purchasing both lengths, you'll receive one continuous length with ~60cm of free defective fabric in-between.
